Denise B. Chandler
Denise Brazie Chandler is an emerging fine art photographer. In 2012, Chandler completed a summer residency program in photography at Maine Media Workshops & College. While in Maine she was guided and encouraged and had her work critiqued by renowned photographers Michael Wilson, Andrea Modica, Peter Ralston, Arthur Meyerson, David Turner, Brenton Hamilton, David Wells, and Syl Arena. In the fall of 2012, Chandler completed workshops/lectures with Bobbi Lane and Seth Resnick. Chandler continued her formal workshop training with master portrait and celebrity photographer, Greg Gorman, in 2013. Since then, Chandler has won many awards for her photography and has exhibited throughout New England.
Chandler feels that her photography is a means of self-expression. She makes pictures for herself, to identify hidden qualities of her character, to better understand her reality, and to explore parts of her life as an abstract form. Chalndler’s goal is to use her camera like Alice’s rabbit hole, to open an unexplored world, a place of curious self-expression, but also a world of new relationships, new chances new beginnings and most importantly new stories.
